Eric Rogers

Eric Rogers started his career with the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) Local 12 Kansas City, MO, where he worked for KONE Inc. as a repair apprentice. He completed the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP) and passed the Mechanics exam in 2002. Over the years, Eric has worked for Otis, KONE and Schindler.

In August of 2005 Eric was elected Trustee of IUEC Local 12 and served on the Entertainment Committee. In 2007 Eric was elected IUEC Local 12 First Business Representative/Financial Secretary/Treasurer. He ran unopposed for Business Manager in 2009 and served in that position until January of 2017. Eric was a delegate on the Health Committee at the 30th IUEC General Convention and on the Constitution and By-Laws committee at the 31st General Convention.

During his tenure as Business Manager, Eric was Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JAC) Chairman and NEIEP Local Administrator, Trustee to the Kansas City Building and Construction Trades Council, worked on local model legislation in Missouri and Kansas and took part in Missouri’s Elevator Safety Board. In 2012, Eric was appointed as Trustee to the 401k/Annuity Plan and served in that capacity until 2022.  He is currently serving on the ASME QEI-1 and Inspections committees.

Eric started with the Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund (EIWPF) in 2017 as a National Coordinator. He became QEI Certified in June of 2018 and instructed QEI Continuing Education and Certification classes.  He was appointed Lead National Coordinator and QEITF Administrator in May of 2022.  He is also involved in the grant programs, BOMA and Wind Turbine training.

Eric has been married to his beautiful wife Amy since 1992 and together they have raised two wonderful children, Dr. Emily Rogers and Hunter Rogers.  He enjoys golf, fishing, watching the Chiefs, Royals and Missouri Tigers and playing with his grandchildren, Lily and Gabe.
