John Valone

John started his career in 1972 as a member of Local 2 Chicago where he worked for Haughton, Schindler, Millar, Kone and various independent companies. Starting in 1990, John was elected as a Local 2 trustee and eventually held every elected office in his Local. John’s last position in Local 2 was Business Manager/President. John was also a delegate to four IUEC conventions, Vice President on the IUEC General Executive Board, and a NEIEP Trustee. John held other various positions such as: Vice president of the Chicago and Cook County Building Construction Trades, Vice President of the Northwest Indiana Building Construction Trades.

John is currently a National Coordinator for the Elevator Industry Work Preservation Fund and serves on various Safety Code Committees.
