Message from the IUEC Veterans Assistance Program

The following is a message from the International Union of Elevator Constructors’ Veterans Assistance Program:

As the proud recipients of the freedom that generations of brave men and women provided for all the citizens of the United States, it is our duty to recognize their sacrifices, tell their stories, and honor their legacy.

Each November 11th, we are all provided an opportunity to do just that, but that sentiment should extend beyond a singular day. Every morning that we wake up under the secure blanket of liberty that we are so blessed with, each day that we travel to our job sites as members of the IUEC, and each night we come home safe to our loved ones, is a day that wouldn’t be possible if not for the sacrifices and dedication of our Veterans.

So, on this Veterans’ Day, take the time to celebrate them; their service, their lives, and their stories. But when the clock turns to midnight and a new day begins, don’t let that thankfulness fade, because our nation owes a debt of gratitude to our Veterans that will continue for each and every day that we are here.

They are our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers, children and grandparents, friends and loved ones. They are Veterans of the United States military, and the IUEC is proud to honor them on Veterans’ Day, and every day.
